I was a big fan of "Dragon Ball Z" seemingly forever ago when it first aired on Cartoon Network, and I'm finally just getting around to watching the uncut episodes from the start of the series. Which, at this point in time, everyone and their mother has done at least twice.
I'd almost forgotten how much I love DBZ; though a good alternate title would've been "Gohan Pees on Everything." Why? Because every other episode features little Gohan urinating on a different object. For all I know he could pee on Piccolo in the later episodes. If there was ever an episode that aired on Cartoon Network that was only five minutes long Gohan's tiny bladder was to blame. Oh, and Master Roshi (a.k.a. Old Timer Turtle Hermit Roshi-sama or something like that) asked if he could touch Bulma's boobs "a little bit" in, I think, the second episode. These things aren't what make the series great, obviously, but they're the things that occurred to me to mention in this blog post. Even acknowledging that Bulma indeed possesses breasts would've caused the censors to explode in the past TV airing. Though once they'd exploded you'd know they were fine because you could see their parachutes <----- ollllld Funimation-censored DBZ in-joke.

i remember the parachute episode. also the episode were gohan was naked and this really ugly bush was right in front of his junk. it looked like sometime spit a wad of chewing tobacco on his crotch lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yeah those spontaneously-growing bushes were about as bad as Tenchi Muyo's glowing bikinis that everyone wore when they bathed.
